This way seems like the opposite ways for someone to have more time for their work. However, a study shows that people that have more time usually give it away by helping other voluntarily. When they take a short break from their work, they will try to help others that faced problem and learned from it. After they finish helping others, they will go back to their position with fresh and active mind and they can sprint for their work again. Helping others also will change someone’s perception about time and better than wasting time or just spend time on oneself.
Do things in new ways
When we do the same thing every day, we will get used to the job and does not involve much of our thinking into the job and make the time go slower. When we do something new, we will put more thinking into the job and our brain can engage more consciously. Other than that, you may also feel interesting and challenging if you conduct your work in new and unexpected way and change your perception of time that goes slow every time you work.
Do things you love
It is always not enough time for someone to do something they like. When in the workplace, try to use or combine something that you love to do with your work to make it interesting for you. It will help you to move the time aside and work more effectively. Since you do your work with something you like to do, you will finish it much faster and you will realize that it is still have time for you to do other work or things.
Take control of your time
Most of the people doesn’t have enough time because their time is control by others whether is their family or their employer. We always do the tasks when we saw it but we do not prioritize them. This have makes us lack of time to deal with the task that are important and cannot finish it on time. Everyone have equal time to spend and the only differences is the way we spend it. Therefore, choose the way that can spend your time ideally or activities that you will not regret if you spend time on it.
